Our Mission:

The Outreach Committee’s goal is to bring outreach to Highland, Illinois, and the surrounding communities! Find our team leads and see more about what we do below.

Outreach

    Prayer on the Go

    Our Prayer Team has a weekly outreach towards our community. We offer prayer and witness as a group. Come join us!

  • People serving themselves food at a buffet line with various dishes and slow cookers.

    Pot Luck Sundays

    Sunday Potlucks are held at the HCC gym after the second service. Sign-up sheets on the bulletin board! Potluck themes will be announced with reminders on the HCC Facebook page.

  • Shelves stocked with cans of food in a warehouse or food bank, organized and labeled by type.

    Men's Steak Night

    Grill steaks after fellowship with the Men’s Ministry. Typically twice a month. Also, an annual Chili Cookoff in the fall!

    The annual “Iron Sharpens Iron” conference. HCC Men’s ministry members get equipped with spiritual tools and attend seminars from around the US.

    Family Bible Study

    Oil Change Ministry

    Our biannual event to help maintain the cars of our community! “The Oil Change Project” assists vetted clients of Highland's Food Panty. Any volunteers welcome, we need oil changers, window washers, tire pressure checkers, etc.

    Lunch Bunch Meal Program

    HCC partners with FCC in Highland's “Lunch Bunch” program, which runs most of the summer.

    Operation Christmas Child Ministry

    HCC collects themed items each month for Operation Christmas Child. See what the theme is this month in the announcements below!

    We host a “Christmas Packing Party” in December, and most years HCC is a shipping drop-off location.

  • Adopt-A-Family

    Contact: Heather Kunz

    HACSM Adopt-a-Family program. Donate Christmas presents to an anonymous ‘family member’ from the food pantry. Runs end of November to mid-December every year.
