Our Operation Christmas Child...
Church Family,
For Nov., we will be collecting for the shipping costs. $9/box is extremely cheap considering that, besides shipping, it is also used to train the local churches & pastors, & to distribute the Greatest Gift Gospel booklets in the children's language. Check out the bulletin board for a comparison of costs for the same size package if shipped by USPC to get a better idea of the value.
Each year, we have more boxes than money to cover shipping, which is usually covered by myself & some generous elders. To try to bridge that gap a little better, we are doing something similar to the bottle collections for Relevant. A medicine bottle will hold exactly $9 worth of quarters! Please consider taking a bottle from the display, fill it with quarters & bring it back by Nov. 15th. My prayer is that they will be brought back & refilled enough that the shipping will be covered for our goal of 200 boxes! You may also make a donation (if you are led to do so) by designating it for OCC & indicate if it is for shipping or fillers.
Make sure to come out on November 16th from 2 until ??? to pack, pray, fellowship & be humbled by God's blessings!!

San Gabriel Memory Care...
If you are interested in being a part of our ministry at San Gabriel, please talk to Chris Hemken, Jan Neighbors, or call the church office.  Services are held twice a month, 1st & 3rd Monday of the month.  Time is usually 1:00, after their lunch.  A short devotional, singing, and visiting is usually what the service consists of.  We'd love for some new church friends to join us.
